Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 1, 2026

Aloudly creates personalized affirmations and reads them aloud. To do that well, it needs to know a little about you and the people who matter to you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, who we work with, and the control you have over your data.

Data we collect and why

You give us this information as you set up and use Aloudly. We use it for one purpose: to generate affirmations that sound like they were written for you.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.

Third-party services we share data with

Aloudly relies on a small number of trusted providers to function. We share only the data each provider needs to do its job.

ProviderPurposePolicy
Anthropic (Claude) Generates the text of your affirmations from the context you provide. Privacy
OpenAI Synthesizes speech — turns the generated text into the voice you hear. Privacy
Supabase Stores your account, profile, and content, and handles sign-in. Privacy
RevenueCat Manages your subscription and purchase status. Privacy
Pexels Provides background images. No user data is sent to Pexels. Privacy
PostHog Product analytics — helps us see how features are used and where the app can improve. We send only metadata (event names, screen/step numbers, categories, durations, plan and error identifiers) tied to your account id. No names, no wish/story/affirmation text, no age or city is ever sent. Privacy

The text and context you submit are sent to Anthropic and OpenAI solely to generate your affirmations and their audio. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.

How long we keep your data

Your rights

You are in control of your data. You have the right to:

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under the GDPR. If you are a California resident, you have equivalent rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to deletion. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. To exercise any right, email us at the address below.

Children

Aloudly is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Names of children may be provided by an adult account holder purely as context for generated stories; they are not user accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Your data is stored with our providers using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is required to operate the service. Story audio is served through short-lived, signed links that expire.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Aloudly evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
